• Everyone has AI access. Tools are democratized. But tools alone won’t create mass change.
  • Tools extend existing capability. Machines build new capability.
  • The difference: tools you use on problems. Machines act on you—apply pressure, accountability, stakes.
  • Tools are force multipliers. Machines are forges.

“With AI, people have the tools to become anything, but tools on their own won’t lead to mass change.”

The tools alone, yeah, absolutely won’t work because there’s no fun way to force yourself to put in effort compared to the things you do without putting in any effort. So we need a way to make skill development as fun as hands-free vibe coding and all of its analogues. You can vibe-code an app without becoming someone who builds apps. The capability isn’t internalized. Structure, peers, stakes—the machine—is what forces the transformation.
